Precision Surface Grinding

Surface grinding is a precision finishing process used to grind metal to a critical size or produce a smooth finish on flat surfaces. The process uses a stationary abrasive rotating wheel to cut back or finish a metallic surface. The feed table with the work attached is run under the grinding wheel, which is set at a specific height to deliver the required surface finish or material thickness. The process of surface grinding is carried out to different parts and products as it can provide many benefits to different industries.

- High accuracy and tight tolerances.

Precision grinding allows for the production of parts with very tight dimensional tolerances, which is important in many industries where even small variations can have significant impacts. Surface grinders are capable of processing delicate metal parts and products thanks to their accuracy of around 0.0001 inches.

- Smooth surface finish

Precision grinding produces a smooth, flawless surface finish on the workpiece, which is often important for the functionality and appearance of the finished product.

- Increased durability

Parts that have been precision ground are often stronger and more durable than those that have not, as the grinding process removes any imperfections or defects that could weaken the material.

- Removing impurities from work material surfaces

At Everun, We can surface grind metal sheets, plates, shafts, pins, liners, housings, parts with shoulders, along with many other products. Whether you need to cut plate or simply smooth the rough edges, you can rely on our experienced team to get the job done. All work can be carried out to extremely accurate thickness and smoothness specifications. Our largest surface grinder can grind parts up to 1000 x 400 x 400mm and maintain very tight thickness tolerances. Been working with leading European liner motor manufacturers over decades, we are specialized in manufacturing surface ground parts like closing plates (side plates) for ironless and ironcore motors.
